President Joe Biden said Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has agreed to open the Rafah Crossing into Gaza for humanitarian aid to reach people who need it. As many as 20 trucks will enter through the only entry not controlled by Israel.
How much of an impact the initial delivery will have on Gazans is unclear. According to the World Health Organization Representative Richard Brennan, the goal is to distribute up to 100 trucks full of supplies daily.
