Google Privacy Sandbox Is in Development

Google Sandbox will limit third-party cookies for some Chrome users starting January 4, 2024. The company will randomly select one percent of them worldwide to be the first to use the Tracking Protection feature.

This group of people will see a notification on the Chrome browser reading: "You're one of the first to experience Tracking Protection."

Google has plans to phase out third-party cookies by the end of 2024. Read more on the company's privacy protection goals here.
