Blanca Quiñonez, an Ecuadorian UConn Huskies Basketball Player

Quiñonez is recognized as the first player in UConn program history from South America (Ecuador). A former standout in Italy's Serie A1 league, she is known for her high basketball IQ, physical play, and versatility as a scorer. 

Despite missing time early in the 2025-26 season due to a shoulder injury, Quiñonez quickly became a key contributor, averaging over 10 points and 3 rebounds per game. She was named Big East Freshman of the Week six times during the 2025-26 season.
