Spirit Airlines has initiated a shutdown and cancelled all flights, making airport visits futile. There is no staff on-site for assistance, and the company is winding down, meaning passengers cannot rebook, check in, or receive in-person support.
The Department of Transportation announced that a majority of other airlines will cap ticket prices for Spirit travelers who need to rebook their canceled flights, and some carriers have even reduced fares on high-volume routes where Spirit used to operate.
