The Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art is in Hartford, CT. It is the oldest continuously operating public art museum in the United States. It houses nearly 50,000 works of art spanning 5,000 years in a distinctive, castle-like Gothic Revival building.
The museum is internationally acclaimed for its exceptional European Baroque masterworks, unparalleled Hudson River School landscapes, and groundbreaking modernist and contemporary art. Museum admission prices are $24 for adults, $20 for seniors (62+), and $15 for college students and youth (12-17). Children under 12, museum members, and Hartford residents enter free.
