Councilors have approved a public safety community center for Hamden.

In a 9 to 4 vote, town councilors passed a motion to bring a public safety community center to the Hamden Plaza.

The motion approves the license between the town of Hamden, the Hamden Police Department, and the Hamden Plaza. The space will be at a 5,000-square-foot retail space adjacent to Ashley’s Ice Cream.
