Public Notices and Press Releases

Rubin Museum of Himalayan Art in NYC has gone digital.

The Rubin Museum of Himalayan Art in NYC closed its physical location at 150 West 17th Street on October 6, 2024. The museum is transitioning to a "museum without walls" model, focusing on traveling exhibitions, loans, and digital initiatives rather than maintaining a centralized New York City building.

The museum continues to operate as an institution, but it no longer has a public, walk-in, permanent space in New York. For more information about traveling exhibitions, please visit here.
