According to the Hamden Police Department, at approximately 7:11 p.m. on March 20, 2026, officers received reports of shots being fired and a man fleeing the area of 595 Mix Avenue. Officers found a 32-year-old man in the roadway suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment. A preliminary investigation indicated that the victim had been involved in a domestic-related dispute prior to the alleged shooting, police said.
The Hamden Police Department Major Crimes Division is actively investigating the incident. Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Major Crimes Division at 203-230-4000.
