The United States men's national soccer team opened the FIFA World Cup on home soil with a dominant 4-1 win over Paraguay in front of 70,492 spectators at Los Angeles Stadium. Striker Folarin Balogun had an outstanding performance with two goals to lead the U.S. attack.
