Summer is officially here!

In 2026, the summer solstice in the United States coincides with Father's Day. This day brings major gatherings and celebrations to welcome the sun, such as live broadcasts and gatherings at Stonehenge organized by English Heritage. 

Because the Northern Hemisphere is tilted toward the Sun, the Sun rises earlier and sets later on the summer solstice than at any other time of year. The exact moment of the solstice occurs simultaneously worldwide.
