It is safe to take a swim in the lake at Pattaconk Recreation Area today.

Swimming at Pattaconk Lake Recreation Area in Cockaponset State Forest is open to the public. No bacterial closures have been reported today. 

The address is Cedar Lake Road, Chester/Haddam, CT, and the park is open daily from 8 AM to sunset. Connecticut recently launched the Passport to the Parks Program, so now visitors with Connecticut-registered vehicles do not have to pay a parking fee at State Parks and Forest recreation areas.
