Xocova is a post-exposure prophylaxis treatment to help prevent symptomatic COVID-19.

Xocova is the first oral antiviral medication approved by the FDA for post-exposure prophylaxis of COVID-19, preventing infection after close contact with an infected person. To get Xocova, you need a doctor's prescription following a known exposure to someone with COVID-19. 

It is an oral medication meant for post-exposure prevention, and you must start taking it within 72 hours (3 days) of your exposure. Once a doctor prescribes it, you can fill the prescription at a participating local pharmacy.
