The American Red Cross needs blood donors.

There will be a blood drive at Whitneyville Cultural Commons, 1253 Whitney Avenue, Hamden, CT 06517, on August 28, 2026. You can check current availability and book a time slot through the American Red Cross or by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS. 

You may still donate blood, platelets, or plasma after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine. And, if you give blood in August, they will thank you with a $20 Amazon Gift Card by email!
