Cornell University faculty plan vote of no confidence against administrators.

Members of the Cornell University Faculty Senate submitted a resolution on Monday evening, October 5, 2026, preparing for a no-confidence vote against the university administration over its handling of a 2024 alleged sexual assault case. About 40 members of the Faculty Senate have supported the resolution and a faculty committee will review the document before it heads to the full Faculty Senate for a vote on October 14, 2026.
