La Isla is a Puerto Rican restaurant at 2779 Dixwell Avenue in Hamden. This new establishment is open Tuesday through Saturday for lunch and dinner.

The menu includes appetizers, entrees, side dishes, desserts, and beverages. I highly recommend the Tostones Rellenos Con Bacalao ( Plantain Cups with Cod Fish). They are scrumptious and a perfect portion.
