Erick Russell centered his campaign on a pledge to invest Connecticut’s nearly $45 billion in pension assets to expand economic opportunities for working families. According to the LGBTQ Victory Fund, Russell will be the first openly gay Black statewide official in American history if he defeats Republican Harry Arora in the November 8 general election.
