Vanessa Avery is Connecticut's New U.S. Attorney

Vanessa Avery, a New Haven native, recently became Connecticut's top prosecutor. As Attorney for the District of Connecticut, she is now responsible for prosecuting criminal and civil cases brought to the federal government in this state.

Avery grew up in the Newhallville neighborhood of New Haven. She earned an undergraduate degree from Yale University and a law degree from Georgetown University.
