Hamden School Resource Officers

The Hamden Board of Education recently approved a memorandum of understanding representing an agreement between the board, the school district, and the Hamden Police Department. It outlines the SRO program goals.

SROs must participate in autism, LGBTQ, trauma-informed policing, and diversity training. They also can respond to emergencies such as an active shooter.
