The Green Team Empowers Kids

Bear Path Elementary School in Hamden students who are members of the Green Team dedicate time to preserving Earth. They monitor the student body at lunchtime and ensure the process is sustainable.

Their Food Waste Diversion Program has been successful. According to the Green Team organizer Doreen Stohler, it is a model for other schools across Connecticut to emulate.
