The Hamden Public Library will offer the following programs during Mental Health Awareness Month this year:

1. Let's Talk Mental Health and Recovery

On May 2, at 6:30 PM, Dr. Mark Costa and Graziela Reis from the Yale Program for Recovery and Community Health will facilitate a conversation on mental health and recovery. It will be at 2901 Dixwell Avenue

2. QPR Suicide Prevention Training

The workshop, offered by the Quinnipiack Valley Health District, will be on May 16 from 6:30 - 8:00 PM at 2901 Dixwell Avenue. Participants must be 18 years of age or older.

3. Living with a Grieving Heart

The program will be on May 10 at 6:00 PM at 91 Circular Avenue. Dr. Marianne Bette will talk about her recently published book Living with a Grieving Heart and share personal stories about her experiences with grief.
