Wagner Rebels Against Putin

There has been a simmering conflict between Russian military leadership and Yevgeny Prigozhin, the chief of the private mercenary group Wagner. Forces from Wagner Group, fighting for the Kremlin in Ukraine, have reportedly stormed back into Russia.

Prigozhin unleashed a rant against the Russian military on Friday, then marched his troops into Rostov-on-Don. Russian President Vladimir Putin called Wagner’s actions treasonous and has vowed to punish those behind the armed uprising.
