The United Auto Workers Union Launches Strikes at 3 Factories

The United Auto Workers strike against Ford, GM, and Stellantis could affect the Ford parts depot in Windsor, Connecticut which has roughly 40 members.

The UAW's demands are:

• A 36% pay increase over a four-year contract
• Pension benefits for all employees
• Limited use of temporary workers
• More paid time off, including a four-day workweek
• More job protections, including the right to strike over plant closings
