American families can expect to catch a break on the cost of the traditional Thanksgiving turkey this year. One reason is the agriculture industry added 2–3 percent more birds to farms in July to keep supply high for Thanksgiving.
Additional factors are lower transportation costs and no bird flu outbreak this year. Celebrating Thanksgiving at home will be more advantageous for families, and Target is already offering a 10-pound turkey for less than $25.
