According to government officials, speeding drivers and red-light runners will likely have to pay a fine for the infractions. Automated cameras will improve road safety and bring millions of dollars in revenue to Hamden.
A first infraction ticket will probably be $50. The Hamden Legislative Council must approve the cameras before they can start operating.
