Vice President Kamala Harris Chose to Study at Howard University

Harris chose to attend Howard University, one of the Historically Black Colleges and Universities in the United States, because she wanted to be surrounded by black academics, culture, students, and traditions. She majored in political science and economics and was a social justice activist.

According to Harris, the experience opened her eyes to a world of people like her. Now, she is arguably the most notable Howard University graduate ever.
