Watch Hamdenite Alexis Holmes Run at the 2024 Olympics

Born in Hamden, Holmes attended Cheshire Academy, then attended Penn State and earned the Big Ten women's freshman of the year in 2019 before transferring and graduating from the University of Kentucky in 2022.

She will run the individual 400 and women's 4X4 race in Paris starting Aug. 5. She has been a professional runner for two years.
