Lamont Nominates Hamden-Based Judges

On February 24, 2022, Governor Ned Lamont nominated 4 Hamden residents to the Connecticut Superior Court. The nominees are:

  • Cherie Phoenix-Sharpe, a general counsel to Lt. Governor Susan Bysiewicz
  • Charles Reed, a managing principal with Loughlin Fitzgerald, P.C.
  • Scott Jones, a public defender for the New Haven Judicial District
  • John F. Riley, a trial attorney with Moore, O'Brien & Foti

They are all in the second class of Superior Court nominations under Governor Lamont since he took office in 2019. The first class, nominated in 2021, consisted of 15 judges.
