The March for Justice to honor Richard Cox will take place today at 5 p.m., rain or shine. Participants will march from the Stetson Library on Dixwell Avenue to the New Haven Police Station at 1 Union Avenue.
The event, coordinated by the CT NAACP, the New Haven NAACP, civil rights attorney Ben Crump and the Cox family, will include activist Tamika D. Mallory. Richard Cox remains hospitalized.

Update-Today, September 27, 2022, the family of Richard Cox filed a $100 million lawsuit against the New Haven Police Department over the incident that left him paralyzed. Civil rights attorney Ben Crump and representatives from the Connecticut NAACP and New Haven NAACP joined the family at a news conference to announce the lawsuit.
