Route 15 in Hamden Closed

Route 15 between exits 60 and 59 in Hamden is closed in both directions due to a state police investigation into a two-car accident and shooting. The incident happened at about 2:20 AM on Sunday. There is no timetable for when the highway will reopen, but you can check back here for updates.

Update - One person, 23-year-old Adrian Lopez of Bridgeport has died, and two others sustained injuries after the shooting. The northbound side of the highway reopened around 1 PM while the southbound side reopened around 3:00 PM.
