Colleges and universities can defend free speech while condemning hate speech.

There are actions colleges and universities in the United States can take to protect students from antisemitism and Islamophobia on campus. Three actions are:

1. Advance interfaith organizations in which everyone is welcome and expand curricular offerings on culture and history.

2. Develop protocols and systems for responding to hate incidents.

3. Host teach-ins on antisemitism and Islamophobia.
