7th Annual New Haven Chalk Art Festival, Oct. 12

Sidewalks will come to life as artists create illustrations defying the imagination when The Shops at Yale presents the 7th annual New Haven Chalk Art Festival on Saturday, Oct. 12, 12-4pm (rain date Oct. 13). Enjoy art, music, and family-friendly entertainment while exploring the Chapel and Broadway districts, where chalk illustrations will span Broadway Island, 56 Broadway, and the patio of the Yale University Art Gallery, 1111 Chapel St. 65 to 75 professional and amateur artists will be conjuring intricate and imaginative Halloween and fall-themed chalk-art creations as they vie for prizes based on viewers' votes.
