Frances Tiafoe Advances to U.S. Open Quarterfinals

Frances Tiafoe is the son of Sierra Leonean immigrants and grew up at the Junior Tennis Champions Center in Maryland. He played a well-rounded U.S. Open match against Spaniard Rafael Nadal on September 5, 2022, and won 6-4, 4-6, 6-4,6-3.

Tiafoe has advanced to the quarterfinals. His next match will be against Russian Andrey Rublev on September 7, 2022.
